I’m Imani,

and in attending the University of Washington, studying Sociology and Political Science, I recognize the importance of education and accessibility in order for a movement to grow. For change to happen, perspectives must be challenged, they must be questioned, and they must be educated. It is only through this that one can understand the interconnectedness of injustice to one, is injustice to all. To address this conflict, systems and institutions need to be reflected upon. In understanding mechanisms pushing people further from each other, further from the earth, we can make an effort to circle back to understand the fundamentals to life. We all are to live in communion with one another and with the earth.

I'm Emily!

I believe that everything in life is deeply connected—where every person, every being, and every ecosystem plays a role in the intricate web of life. I believe that when we start to truly understand and feel these connections, we can begin to heal and transform the systems that shape our world. Currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science from Macquarie University, I combine my scientific background with a visionary, empathetic approach to climate relations. My goal is to inspire not just awareness, but a shared sense of responsibility—inviting people to see the world as I do: as a place where everything is interwoven, and where meaningful change starts with how we connect to one another and the planet.

Here, we amplify the voices of changemakers who are already shaping a world beyond conventional thinking.
